Nectarwell
Nectarwell is an initiative I founded to close the nonprofit technology equity gap — helping under-resourced nonprofits modernize their digital systems, workflows, and experiences. The initiative is fiscally sponsored by Madhukara.
The Opportunity
Nonprofits, especially smaller community organizations, rarely have budget for technology modernization. Most available grant funding is tied to specific programs rather than operational capacity, leaving organizations unable to invest in the systems that would make their work more effective.
My Role
I authored and pitched Nectarwell's strategic roadmap and business case to Madhukara's board, securing approval for a fiscal sponsorship agreement. I validated demand through field interviews with 5 nonprofit organizations (including Cap4Kids, St. Stephen's Community Shelter House, Let the Light In, Motherful, and Madhukara), confirming strong interest in AI/automation and modern websites despite budget constraints. I designed a diversified funding model — grants, donations, corporate sponsorships, and donor matching — and a phased roadmap (foundation, build, fund, activate) targeting an initial $50K pilot.
Impact / Results
- Board-approved fiscal sponsorship agreement securing Nectarwell's operating structure
- Validated demand across 5 nonprofit field interviews
- Direct line from Nectarwell's mission to Bold Crow's Callie prototype — the AI Assistant for Resource Directories was born from this same work
