OhioHealth Culture & Belonging Leadership
The Opportunity
Across two roles spanning more than six years, OhioHealth needed leaders who could build inclusion and belonging into the fabric of the organization — both through highly visible community representation and through grounded, employee-informed culture work at the department level.
My Role
Pride BRG Co-Chair (2018–2023)
Served on the Pride BRG Steering Committee and worked across the system with numerous leaders, coached throughout by an executive sponsor. Each year, I helped develop a new parade theme connecting back to the system's broader inclusion initiatives, presenting concepts to the BRG Steering Committee and Inclusion & Belonging leadership for approval. I led planning and execution of OhioHealth's Pride Parade presence: coordinating logistics for 1,000+ marchers, managing day-of operations, ensuring safety protocols, and overseeing a large volunteer team.
Culture Connections: Inclusion & Belonging Committee Co-Chair (2024–Present)
Selected by my Senior VP to co-chair Marketing & Communications' Culture Connections Inclusion & Belonging committee, I work alongside my co-chair and directly with a VP sponsor, partnering cross-functionally with the system Inclusion & Belonging team to maintain "systemness" and secure approval for departmental initiatives. Through research and employee focus groups, we identified where the department stands today and where it needs to grow, then shaped an action plan rooted in employee input with measurable goals to track progress. Following a recent Senior VP transition, the resulting proposal is currently with department leadership for review.
